Stockings to Stuff

Here are a few more of my favorite Christmas items. I always got a chuckle out of passerbyers as they read these!

Sunday

Getting Ready for the Big Fat Guy in the Red Suit!

I can not believe that it's onlt a few days before Thanksgiving. When I made crafts for a supplimental income I began making Christmas items in August. Now that I have a real job and less time I start making things in November, then end of it! I love this time though because I get to go back and look at all of the things I have made and sold. Here's one of my favorites that I wanted to share with you.

Applique of the Day!

I know some of you don't want to believe it but fall is coming! I made this door hanger so that the second I feel that crisp in the air I can hang it!  I am offering a class on this. Please email me at primitivedinkles@yahoo.com if you would like to sign up for the class. All of my classes are held in my sussex county, NJ home.

Friday

Sweet Carolina

I saw a needle keeper in one of the quilt shops and I decided to make one for my trip! I made this in the car on the way home. It killed about an hour! I wish it had killed 8 more!

This may be the last shop!

This was my last shop in NC. It was a cute shop in Cary called Whistle Stop Quilt Shop. I was tired by the time I got to this shop so I only picked up a few things. That may have been a good thing because I was really admiring two large quilts that were hanging! If I had a bit more energy I have a feeling they would have come home with me and placed in the " To Do" basket!

I had to take a close up of this one! Is that not the cutest Halloween fabric??? I think it will make a great border for a Fall table runner!

North Carolina shops!

I did find a few shops in NC. My first stop was a Bernina shop in Raleigh I believe. I had no idea they had fabric so I was really excited! I got these pieces and also a pattern and a new Quilters magazine. The pattern that I picked up is for a HUGE bag! I LOVE it! You can never have too many bags! One of every shape and size! I know a few of these will make Christmas presents!

Just a side note: I am not a big fan of panels! To each their own but I think it's lazy! LOL I know this is the only way some people can finish a quilt because there are not enough hours in the day but they are not for me! With that being said... Look at the cute panel I bought! It was 50% off and too cute to pass up! I don't know what I am going to do with it yet but I am thinking of coasters or pot holders.Maybe this panel will change my opinion!

We arrived at our destination!

We reached our destination and I knew of one quilt shop near my in-laws house. I was very excited to go there since I had been there in the past and the " new" online photos showed much more merchandise and even a large wool selection! Well, guess what? When I got there..... it was gone!!! And it didn't move! I was so bummed! Lesson learned: CALL BEFORE YOU GO!!!
